These are some of our favorite recipes, mostly from Cooking Light, but we tend to edit portions and ingredients
that suit our taste buds (e.g. when a recipe calls for 1 minced garlic clove, we use about 4 :) ).
Other recipes are passed down from family and friends.
Enjoy!

Fowley Cranberry Jell-O

I've learned that this is a must for all major holidays (including Jim's birthday) in our family. Thanks to Jim's parents for sharing this family secret! :)

Ingredients:
* 2  3-ounce  boxes Cranberry or Raspberry Jello
* 2  cups  boiling water
* 1  14-ounce  can  cranberry sauce (jellied, not whole berries)
* 1  cup  cold ginger ale or a cup of cold water
* 1/2  cup  cold orange juice (or another half cup of ginger ale/water)
* 2  cups  seedless red grapes, halved
* 1  cup  celery, finely diced
* 1  cup  walnuts, chopped (or pecans for you Southerners)...

Preparation:
1. Dissolve the Jell-O powder in two cups of boiling water.
2. Add the can of jellied cranberry and whisk until until fully blended.
3. Add cup of cold ginger ale or cold water and half cup of cold orange juice.
4. Refrigerate until thickened (30 - 90 minutes).
5. Stir in the grapes, celery, and nuts. Refrigerate until fully set.
* It will take 4 hours (at least) to set, so best made the night before!
