You can add more flour to get a breadier effect, leave out the sweets (or leave them in!) for a good breakfast bar, or put a powdered sugar glaze on it for a relatively healthy dessert ~ so versatile!

Ingredients
* 2 ripe bananas, mashed
* 1/2 cup blackstrap molasses
* 2 teaspoons vanilla
* 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
* 2 cups oats
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 2 teaspoons powdered ginger
* 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
* 3 teaspoons cinnamon
* 1/2 cup dried cranberries
* 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
* 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix all ingredients, in order listed above, in a large bowl
3. Spread in a greased 9" x 13" glass baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350°F.
4. Wait until bars are cool enough to touch before cutting into 12 equal bars.
These are best warm but can be eaten cold with a glass of milk too.
