These are some of our favorite recipes, mostly from Cooking Light, but we tend to edit portions and ingredients
that suit our taste buds (e.g. when a recipe calls for 1 minced garlic clove, we use about 4 :) ).
Other recipes are passed down from family and friends.

Christmas Dinner 2010

Ham

Cheesy Potatoes
Ingredients: 

* 1 (1 lb) bag frozen cubed potatoes 
* 1 can cream of mushroom soup
* 1 can milk (after pouring soup out)
* 1 16-ounce container sour cream
* 1/2 onion, diced
* 1 16-ounce bag shredded cheddar cheese
* salt and pepper, to taste
* crushed red pepper, optional
Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Put potatoes in large bowl until mostly thawed. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
3. Spray glass 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray, spread mixture in dish.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, until cheese starts to brown on top.
5. Remove from oven, cool slightly before serving.

Green Bean Casserole
Ingredients:

* 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1 teaspoons soy sauce
* 1 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
* 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
* 4 cups cooked cut green beans
* 1  1/2 cups French's® French Fried Onions
Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Stir soup, milk, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, beans and 1 cup onions in 2-qt. casserole dish.
3. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 min. or until hot. Stir.
4. Top with remaining onions. Bake for 5 min. more. 


Cranberry Jell-O

Chocolate Dessert
Ingredients:
Crust:
* 1  cup  walnuts, chopped
* 1  cup  flour 
* 1  cup  margarine, melted
Filling:
* 1  cup  powdered sugar
* 1  8-ounce  package cream cheese, softened
* 2  containers  Cool Whip, thawed
* 2  small boxes  instant chocolate pudding
* 3  cups  cold milk
* chopped nuts, sprinkles, etc. for topping, optional
We cut the recipe in half and use a pre-made graham cracker pie crust* when it's just the two of us.
*For a crispy crust, brush with egg white, bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes, and then cool completely before adding filling.
Preparation:
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Form crust in greased 9x13 pan, bake 20 minutes, cool completely.
2.  2nd Layer: combine powdered sugar, cream  cheese, and 1 container of Cool Whip; pour into cooled pie crust.
3.  3rd Layer: use electric mixer to beat pudding and milk in a large bowl; spread over 2nd Layer.
4.  4th Layer: spread second container of Cool Whip over 3rd Layer. Top with chopped nuts, sprinkles, etc. if desired. Refrigerate over night.
